Serge Camiré

In 1983, he obtained a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from École Polytechnique of Montreal. He got a solid background in mathematics and in computer science.

Between 1983 and 1985, he continued learning other programming languages and worked as an analyst in the province of Quebec's Justice Department.

In 1985, he was hired by Micro-Logic Applications in Montreal, the first AutoCAD dealer in the province of Quebec. This was where he discovered the software and developed a passion that would never stop growing.

From 1986 to 1987, he taught AutoCAD at Collège de Granby, gathering increasing experience with the software and the needs of its users. In 1989, Serge published his first public textbook entitled "L'Univers AutoCAD version 10" ("The Universe of AutoCAD 10"). Without ever doubting where his passion would lead him, he went on to write nine more textbooks, the latest of which concerns AutoCAD 2000. At the same time, he took part in several projects, participating in analysis, integration and programming.

In 1987, he moved to Quebec City where his experience as a CAD specialist continued to grow. In addition to writing many articles and books, he continued working on the integration of new technologies, as well as in training and programming. He gathered experience in a great variety of fields, including body shop design, mold design, numerical control, inventory management, GIS, architecture and landscaping.

In 1995, he met Jean-Pierre Trudel , another highly skilled specialist in the field, and together the two founded Consultants Univers Inc.
